Excerpt

I fell from my horse, my body covered in wounds and arrows. War horses are trained to return their rider to his own camp, but blood flowed from my head onto the horse’s face, covering its eyes. Instead of returning to our tents, it mistakenly carried me toward the enemy’s camp. Hundreds of enemies struck me with swords and spears.

In those moments, I saw my great grandfather, the Prophet of God (s), coming from Paradise to welcome me. I gathered all my strength and with my last breath cried out: “Father! My great grandfather, the messenger of God (s), has come to meet me. Farewell, dear father, I am departing too.”
